Senator Gil Di Nello Memorial Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established to recognize scholastic achievement, to encourage academic growth, and to encourage and to support those students who take an interest in civic and political affairs of Macomb County.

  • half-time enrollment (6 credit hours or more) each semester of award
  • minimum GPA 3.0 each semester of award
  • recipients may reapply on a yearly basis
  • applicants must submit an essay on the student’s views on the role of local/county government in state lawmaking. The essay should also include the applicant’s personal goals and their role in community service
  • applicants must provide proof that they are a registered voter in Macomb County
  • recipients will be selected on the basis of their statement, commitment to achieving their educational goals and compliance with scholarship criteria
  • financial need is not a requirement
  • award is for tuition, fees and books
