Occupational Therapy Assistant Student Leadership Organizational Endowed Scholarship

Established by Macomb Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Student Leadership Organization in memory of fellow students and alumni of the OTA program. The scholarship is offered to students in the OTA program to help them achieve their academic and professional development goals as a future Occupational Therapy Assistant.

• must have completed one semester in the MCC OTA program
• minimum GPA 3.0 or higher
• essay requirements are based on application for one or both awards and should describe applicant’s educational and career goals including an explanation that reflects the student’s intentions and needs
o if applying for one award, a minimum 750 word essay is required
o if applying for both award, a minimum 1500 word essay is required
• academic award is for tuition, fees, books and other educational expenses
• professional development award is for expenses related to attending the AOTA annual conference
• one $500 academic scholarship and one $250 professional development scholarship will be awarded annually based on funds available. The same applicant is eligible to receive both awards
