Diane J. and Frank Thomas Reed Jr. Endowed General Scholarship Fund

This scholarship will be used to assist students who desire a post-secondary education but lack funds to achieve their educational goals or are facing challenges that have become a barrier to their college education. The award is to recognize students striving towards academic achievement in various academic programs and is awarded to new or continuing education students attending Macomb Community College.

• must be enrolled in at least one class (credit or non-credit) at Macomb Community College
• incoming high school graduates or equivalent and transfer students are eligible
• 50-100-word essay stating how this scholarship will impact their life
• GPA is NOT required for first time applicants; award reapplication each year provided applicant has minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
• preference given to graduates or former students of Mt. Clemens School District
• letter of recommendation optional
• award is for tuition, fees, books other educational expenses
