Hiles-Baltman Endowed Scholarship

Established to empower returning students who are considering a career in teaching. The scholarship honors the memory of Donald Hiles, a returning student who felt welcomed at Macomb Community College and returned the welcome by succeeding as a student, as a writer and as an editor.

• half-time enrollment (6 credit hours or more) each semester of award
• minimum GPA 3.0 preferred each semester of award
• award is for tuition, fees, and books
• written essay explaining applicant’s desire to pursue a career in teaching
• a thank you note must be sent to the donor prior to receipt of award
