Barbara DeMara Memorial Scholarship

Established by friends and colleagues of Barbara DeMara, CMA, who was an adjunct faculty member and long-time supporter of the Medical Assistant program at Macomb Community College. This scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to Macomb students interested in pursuing a career as a Certified Medical Assistant.

• enrolled in the Medical Assistant Program
• half-time (6 credit hours or more) each semester of award
• completed 12 credit hours or more at time of award
• minimum GPA a 3.0 each semester of award
• brief biography describing applicant’s educational goals
• award is for tuition, fees, book, and other educational expenses
• scholarship is renewable as long as criteria is met
