Tina M. Yaney Memorial Scholarship

Established to honor Tina M. Yaney by her family to provide financial assistance to non-traditional Macomb Community College students. Tina re-entered college life just before Covid with a desire to complete the degree she’d started years ago. She finished her Associate Degree in General Studies focusing on Fine Arts, nurturing her love for the arts, particularly ceramics. As a student who was “more experienced” than most of those with whom she attended class, there were challenges, but she also found inspiration, opportunity and purpose in helping those around her. Through this scholarship, Tina’s family wants to continue her legacy of compassion and learning, helping students achieve their educational and aspirational goals.
